Production Operator II

Located: Putnam, CT

A Production Operator II is responsible for testing product and determining acceptance when comparing test results to product specifications. This position will assist their lead person in the day-to-day operation of the equipment and also assist in the Windup, Inspection, Packaging and Labeling of product. They will also assist during changeovers and shutdowns in getting production equipment set and cleaned properly. They will perform line clearance between each production run. This position will also ensure all test equipment is in calibration and properly functioning. An Operator II will follow all EHS policies and procedures. They will also test product samples following testing procedures and accept or reject product based on product specifications. They will notify their lead person of any abnormalities or out of specification test results in a timely manner so corrective methods can be applied to bring product back within specification. They will legibly document test results following cGMP guidelines.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED; two (2) to three (3) years manufacturing experience; Experience working in an ISO or cGMP environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have good reading and writing skills and have the ability to comprehend written instructions; good communication and interpersonal skills; basic math skills and must be detailed and quality oriented and have basic computer skills and well as the ability to use simple hand tools.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must have the ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs, bend during shift, go up and down stairs to operate equipment, and stand and walk 90% of the time during shift. Must also have the ability to visually inspect product and identify defects.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
