General Production New Hire

International Paper, the nation's premier producer of corrugated containers is currently accepting applications for hourly production positions at its Putnam plant located at 175 Park Road, Putnam, CT¬  06260.


We are currently seeking skilled machine operators with industrial manufacturing experience. New hires will start at $16.33 during the probationary period then increase based on the position assigned.¬  Successful operators' compensation will increase with our top machine operators earning $21.25. Your compensation also includes generous benefits packages including company-subsidized healthcare for you and your family, paid vacation, 401(k) and retirement plans.


We are a fast paced, industrial environment, but if you are an experienced manufacturing machine operator, you will enjoy working in our environment. Position requirements include:



  • High school diploma or state registered GED preferred

  • Ability to communicate and work well with others

  • Manufacturing experience preferred

  • Stable work history

  • Ability to work overtime/weekends

  • Fundamental computer skills

  • Reliable transportation

  • Willingness to work 2nd and 3rd shifts ¬

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
