ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Director of Facilities Management, directs the daytoday operations of the Housekeeping Department. Ensures that an appropriate level of service is provided to all Day Kimball Hospital facilities within areas of responsibilities
Directs workers and contractors engaged in cleaning operations at all Day Kimball Hospital facilities.
Assists in coordinating interior decorating/design, furniture selection, purchase, installation,
and signage activities in conjunction with many different individuals both on staff and contracted.
Oversees contractors to ensure their performance meets standards in areas such as bio-hazardous
and non-bio-hazardous waste management, and window washing.
Continuously evaluates and modifies staffing and work procedures in order to complete
department responsibilities in a cost-effective manner.
Maintains a quality assurance program for department activities; sets standards and evaluates performance. Performs duties of staff as need arises for training purposes.
Screens, hires, and trains employees; evaluates, disciplines and recommends dismissals.
Maintains required documentation with a high level of accuracy. Develops a cooperative relationship with others.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
2 year college degree in related field required, 4 year preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience required.
