EHS Engineer

The Sr.
EHS Engineer will assist Business Units, globally, with implementation of all programs and initiatives while assuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement systems to ensure compliance with Chemical Substance Regulations such as RoHS and REACH as well as identify and implement general EHS systems and programs to help standardize and streamline EHS data collection/use globally.
Lead efforts to assure all Business Units implements the Safety Management System.
Develop programs to assist BUs in meeting SMS requirements and assist implementation/training.
25% Provide direct onsite involvement at BUs as needed on such things as Risk Analysis, ergonomic evaluations, safety events etc 20%Participate as either a team member or team lead in safety and health audits of all the manufacturing locations globally.
Develop and publish audit reports including tracking and follow up.
15% Develop new systems/programs (databases, information management, training etc) to streamline and simplify EHS processes for Business Units as well as identify -to fix- gaps in existing EHS related databases.
15% Lead development, implementation and monitoring of systems and programs to ensure Rogers compliance with Chemical Substance Regulations (REACH, RoHS, GHS, CLP ETC.
).
This includes; developing strategies for substance registrations, managing SVHCs, recordkeeping, OR contractual obligations, providing necessary training to affected personnel, downstream user obligations, auditing compliance etc.
Stay abreast of related global regularly requirements.
15% Coordinate with EHS, HR and health provider to establish and maintain full circle injury case management (injury-medical-PS-return to work) 10% Identify means to move safety culture forward to achieve a Culture of Safety Excellence.

Qualifications:
Education, Training, Experience, and Skills, and amount of travel required:
Bachelors Degree in Safety Engineering or a related field.
7-10 years Safety and Health experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work with and organize goal oriented teams.
Proven ability to lead in a multi function organization on a global scale.
Ability to travel 15% of time domestically and internationally.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Education, Training, Experience and Skills:
Fifteen
years experience in safety, engineering.
Advanced degree in an area that supports EHS management.
Experience leading and working with national and/or international teams to implementing Health & Safety programs.
Certification in IH or Safety (CIH, CSP).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
